👉 Ramkrishna Paramhansa used to tell a beautiful story

Ramkrishna Paramhansa used to tell a beautiful story

A bird was flying with mouse in mouth and twenty or thirty birds were chasing him.

The bird was very worried "I am not doing anything to them, why are they chasing me?"

The other birds hit him hard, and in the conflict, in the struggle the bird opened his mouth and the mouse dropped.

Immediately the other bird opened his mouth and the mouse dropped. Immediately the other birds all flew towards the mouse;they all forgot about him.

They were not against him, they were also on the same trip - they wanted the mouse.

If people are hurting you without reason it is quiet possible you may be carrying the dead mouse !

Drop it and suddenly you will see that they have forgotten about you.

They are no longer concerned about you.

Ramkrishna dev use to conclude

People are never concerned about you they want the mouse.

Their problem is not you the mouse you are carrying. They also want the mouse...

They also want bite in the flesh...They have to push you away to get it..

Once you are in a position they aspire to then be prepared to be pushed and pulled.

So drop the mouse or it would be snatched.

👉 A blind boy

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: “I am blind, please help.”

There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were.

The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?”

The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.”

What he had written was: “Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.”

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

Invite others towards good with wisdom. Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets. When life gives you 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

Great men say, “Life has to be an incessant process of repair and reconstruction, of discarding evil and developing goodness…. In the journey of life, if you want to travel without fear, you must have the ticket of a good conscience.”

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling. And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it.

👉 The Water Bearer: Moral Story

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master’s house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years, this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master’s house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you. “Why?” asked the bearer. “What are you ashamed of?” “I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master’s house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don’t get full value from your efforts,” the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion, he said, “As we return to the master’s house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path.” Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it somewhat. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.

The bearer said to the pot, “Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot’s side? That’s because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you’ve watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master’s table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house.”

Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We’re all cracked pots. In this world, nothing goes to waste. You may think like the cracked pot that you are inefficient or useless in certain areas of your life, but somehow these flaws can turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

👉 Sign of nobility

England’s famous Royal Academy of Arts was being prepared for an art exhibition. Many paintings were shortlisted to be displayed in the show. They hung almost every painting except for one. There was no place left in the gallery to hang it. This painting belonged to a new artist. The committee was deciding to reject the painting. At this time, England’s best artist, Sir Turner, removed one of his paintings and gave that space away for the painting. He said, “I am willing to remove this painting of mine. It’s important that the novices get some appreciation and encouragement for their work too”.

👉 Short Stories

“The most dangerous people in the world are not the tiny minority instigating evil acts, but those who do the acts for them. For example, when the British invaded India, many Indians accepted to work for the British to kill off Indians who resisted their occupation. So in other words, many Indians were hired to kill other Indians on behalf of the enemy for a paycheck. Today, we have mercenaries in Africa, corporate armies from the western world, and unemployed men throughout the Middle East killing their own people - and people of other nations - for a paycheck. To act without a conscience, but for a paycheck, makes anyone a dangerous animal. The devil would be powerless if he couldn’t entice people to do his work. So, as long as money continues to seduce the hungry, the hopeless, the broken, the greedy, and the needy, there will always be war between brothers.”

👉 Short Stories

Once, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India, was on a visit to a developed country. A high ranking official of the host country wanted to have his views on the progress of that country. With due regards and modesty, Dr. Radhakrishnan responded: “The scientific and technological development of your country is indeed remarkable. It has enabled man to fly in the skies like the birds and float in the seas like the fishes. However, due to lack of corresponding growth of the inner soul, it has not been able to teach its people to live as cultured human beings on the earth.”

👉 Motivational Story

A wandering monk once visited the city of Mithila, ruled by the Sage King Janaka. “Who is the best teacher around here?” He asked around. To his surprise every spiritual person around referred to him the name of King Janaka. The monk was both puzzled and furious. “How can a King be spiritually that high? These people don’t know what true spirituality is.” he thought.

He went to the King and asked him “O King, learned people around here, speak highly of you, how can you a worldly man of pleasures be more spiritual than those who have given up their everything for the sake of knowing the highest truth?” “Dear one, you have come from a far place, you must have been tired. Let’s eat and rest for the day, we can discuss further tomorrow.”
The King took him to the royal dinner table, fed him variety of foods, and pleased his palates. He took him to a spacious room and told him to rest there.

There was a huge sword hung from the ceiling, hanging just above the bed. “What is this?” asked the monk. “Oh don’t mind it, it has been there for ages, it is an old custom, just have a good sleep. See you in the morning.” said the King and rushed out hurriedly.

The monk was worried that the sword might fall on him and kill him during the night; he couldn’t close his eyes even if he tried.
The king met him the next day, “Sir, how was the night. I hope you slept well” asked the King.

“How could I sleep? there was a huge sword hanging on my neck.” monk explained his trouble.

“When one knows death is certain, how the pleasures of world can sway him away, how can the worldly duties ever limit his eyes from the supreme goal?” said the King answering the Monk’s earlier question.

👉 Injustice should not be tolerated till the last breath

Mahmud Ghajnabi was going back after looting the temple of Somnath. He had an army of one lack soldiers. As soon as army his army reached the camp, they saw a squad of one hundred horse riders was coming towards them with the speed of arrow.  A seventy year old, Rajput was leading the squad.

Mahmood Ghajnani could not understand why such a small force of soldiers was coming to destroy them by fighting with our army of one lack soldiers. He sent a messenger to ask the objective of those soldiers.

The old Rajput leader said to that messenger to tell the emperor that we know the result to fight with force with so much of difference in power. But we do not forget that in any condition, we should not tolerate injustice till our last breath.
Squad of one hundred horse riders fought with readiness to sacrifice their own lives and walloped thousands in no time. While facing heavy force, they lost their lives but till the last breath they kept saying that they were enough to face those one lakhs even if they were hundred in numbers.

This kind of shocking battle had a huge impact on Mahmud. He got astonished with amazing bravery of Rajputs. He thought of a new formula while determining new future war policies. Indians cannot be won by force, they should use cheating to win them because the inhabitants of this country are not familiar with the cheating.

👉 Coal made from Sandalwood

A king went to visit the Forest. There he got lost and forgot the way back to home. He started feeling thirsty and hungry. There he met a person who used to live in the forest. He took care of king. The hospitality was not so great but the king was satisfied because he received it on time. While going back to his kingdom, he said to that person, “I am the ruler of this state. I am quite impressed with your gentle hospitality and give you a garden of sandalwood. Rest of the life you don’t have to worry about your livelihood and live happily.”

He got the forest of Chandan, but poor fellow did not know the significance of Chandan and how can it be availed, without knowing it, he use to cut off the trees and started making coal of the Chandan and started selling in the city. Thus somehow, he managed to live his livelihood.

Gradually all the trees got finished and he left only with one last tree. It started raining so he could not make the coal then he decided to sell only the wood. He reached the market carrying the bundle of wood and because of its fragrance people paid a heavy price. Poor person got surprized and asked the reason for this, the people said, “This is sandal wood, very valuable. If you have more of this kind of wood, you will get wealth in abundance.”

Poor guy began to repent on his ignorance that he sold such a valuable Chandan by making coal and sold for absolute no value. A thoughtful person came across and said, 'Friend! do not regret on yourself, whole world is ignorant, not only you. Each and every moment of life is very precious, but people lose it in lusts and desires but for nothing. It will be nice and not less if you even use the last tree which you are left, wisely. If a person realises the value at the end, he is also considered wise.

Mostly there are lots who only realise the truth of life when all is gone. There are hardly those who come in this world, know the truth of life, its objective. They understand the reality, its value and take every step accordingly. Whatever they do, they get infinite bliss  which is priceless for human life.

👉 Symbolic painting for Opportunity

There was an artist who exhibited a show for his paintings. Hundreds of rich people from the city came to see those. A girl also came to see that exhibition. She saw all paintings but she noticed  one painting where the face of the person is covered with hair and feet were with wings. Below the picture was written in big letters "Opportunity". The picture was a bit crappy, so people ignored it and went forward.

The attention of the girl was there only on this painting, right from the beginning. She reached the artist and quietly asked - 'Sir, whose painting is this? Why have you covered its face, and what is the secret of wings in its feet? 'The artist replied - 'Dear, this is the picture of "Opportunity". Because the ordinary person cannot recognize it, so I have covered its face so that people get curious on looking at it. Winged feet means today’s opportunities which just flies and will not come again. So should grab it before it flies. Make use of it. The girl understood the significance and immediately got involved to build her life beautiful.

Time is life itself. No one has any control on it!

👉 Not run away from challenges

One day, Swami Vivekananda was returning from temple of Ma Kali. On the path, Swamiji saw a number of monkeys who were not allowing him to pass through it. Whenever Swamiji would take a step forward, those monkeys would make a lot of noise and make angry face, showing their anger by shrieking near his feet.

As Swami Vivekananda took a step forward, monkeys got close to him. Swamiji began to run and the monkeys started chasing him. Faster Swamiji ran, bolder monkey got and tried to catch him and bite him.
Just then an old Sanyasi shouted from a distance, "Face them…"

Those words brought Swamiji to senses and he stopped running. He turned back to boldly face them. As soon as Swamiji did that, the monkeys ran away and left.

Moral: We should not run away from challenges; instead we should face them boldly.

👉 Lotus flower

🔶 The lotus is the most beautiful flower, whose petals open one by one. But it will only grow in the mud. In order to grow and gain wisdom, first you must have the mud --- the obstacles of life and its suffering. ... The mud speaks of the common ground that humans share, no matter what our stations in life. ... Whether we have it all or we have nothing, we are all faced with the same obstacles: sadness, loss, illness, dying and death. If we are to strive as human beings to gain more wisdom, more kindness and more compassion, we must have the intention to grow as a lot, open each petal one by one.

👉 Motivational Story 22 July 2018

🔶 We have to create strength where it does not exist; we have to change our natures, and become new men with new hearts, to be born again… We need a nucleus of men in whom the Shakti is developed to its uttermost extent, in whom it fills every corner of the personality and overflows to fertilize the earth. These, having the fire of Bhawani in their hearts and brains, will go forth and carry the flame to every nook and cranny of our land.

👉 Worship Interrupted to Help the Needy

🔷 King Vikramaditya had gone out for hunting. He lost his way in a very dense and dark forest. His soldiers were left behind and he was all alone. In the dreadful forest the King could not find water and his throat was choking with thirst. Suddenly he saw a hut nearby. He went in and saw a holy man in deep meditation. The King then fell down and lost his consciousness.

🔶 When King Vikramaditya regained his consciousness he was surprised to see that the holy man was washing his face, fanning him and gave him water to drink. The King quickly stood up and asked with folded hands, "O Holy one, why did you interrupt your meditation and the worship of God for me?" The saint replied in a soft voice, "Son, it is the wish of God that no one in this world should suffer. Fulfillment of God's wish is very important for me. Worship of God can succeed only by the service of mankind"

👉 Motivational Story 4 July

🔶 A rich man was extremely miser. He had instructed even the ladies of his house never to give alms to the beggars. One day a crippled beggar came to the house. The newly-wed daughter-in-law of the house was from a noble family. She told the beggar that the house had nothing to give him. He beggar asked, “Then what do you people eat?” Came the reply, “We eat the left overs and stale foods, and when even these will be consumed, we too will start begging like you.”

🔷 The master of the house upstairs was overhearing this dialogue. He was greatly annoyed. The daughter-in-law explained, “Whatever we have earned as a result of good deeds in our previous births, we are reaping and consuming only that. We in this life are adding nothing to that asset, devoid as we are completely of the qualities of charity and munificence. Naturally when the previously wealth of ‘punya’ is exhausted, we too will be left distitute. The rich man highly appreciated the wisdom of the young damsel and thence onwards started devoting his time and money towards the general weal.

🔷 A student asked his teacher: “Who are the two angels who nurture life?” “Heart and tongue”, was the reply. The next question was: “Who are the two demons who destroy life?” “Heart and tongue”, was the reply again.

🔶 The cruelty and tenderness of heart makes a personmean or great respectively. Non-control over tongue leads to loss of health and friendship. Sweet and amiable speech, on the other hand, begets ample love and affection of the multitudes.

👉 Motivational Story

🔷 The Bhagwad Gita quotes-‘Nahi Gyanam Sadrisham Pavitramiha Vidyate’. Meaning, nothig is purer than knowledge in this world. True knowledge generates pure thoughts, which enable righteous development of character, awakening of good tendencies and sentiments and refinement of the inner self. Such knowledge is the key to real success in life. Thorough study of inspired talks, deep thinking and contemplation over the thoughts and works of great sages, seers, and saints is the surest way of acquisition of this knowledge.

👉 Mahamana Mohan Malviya

🔷 It happened in the initial days of the Banaras Hindu University. Some students went to meet the founder vice-chancellor, Mahamana Mohan Malviya. They had many complaints against some of their teachers  and classmates. Malviyaji was an eminent scholar and patriot, who genuinely cared for the younger generation of the nation.

🔶 He patiently listened to the complaints then replied affectionately- “My young friends! There may be some thorns of angularities in those people, but these thorns would bother us only when we are not able to see the beauty of the flowers of their positive qualities. You should endeavor seeing the flowers of goodness indwelling  their lives; then the thorns will lose their prominence  and your life will also begin to get fragrant with the sweet scent of those flowers”.
