Man and woman are like the two eyes or the two shoulders of our creator. They are identical in their level, value, utility, responsibilities, as well as rights. Generally speaking, industry, endurance, toughness, and a mentality of providing for the family are attributes more predominant in man, signifying intelligence and action. On the flip side, art, humility, compassion, and love are more prominent in woman, signifying creation and emotional intelligence. Both of these characteristics have equal importance and it is their confluence that creates a complete human being.
The important needs of the time are met by calling upon these manly as well as womanly characteristics. Traditionally, the manly qualities were needed to fight wars, and hence men fought wars. Leadership naturally fell into their hands, rendering women as the followers. Such circumstances created a divide and a hierarchy between the two sexes. Man became the leader, woman became the follower and the worshipper. Whether in the guise of worship and love for the man, or in an environment where she was helpless and explicitly suppressed, woman was exploited; man stayed ahead.
For the new era, we must develop the new woman, who can manage and mould the emotional landscape of the world with her strong hands. We must develop the woman who can use her innate abilities and demonstrate that it is indeed possible to transform the hell of subhuman existence into a heaven of grand-hearted humanness. To promote the ascent of woman toward a position of power and responsibility is to inch closer and closer to the goal of world peace.
