👉 Development of eminent nature and character

It is often observed that people who abandoned their comfortable family life and became monks to genuinely seek their own spiritual wellbeing and to realize the Divine didn’t just fail to fulfill their aims but got entrapped in such a tricky situation wherein they could accomplish neither the worldly nor the otherworldly aims. The reason why they couldn’t realize the otherworldly objective is that they only endured physical hardships but couldn’t actually manage to cultivate eminent thinking, practices and conduct which essentially require one to undertake the task of serving the humanity and mould their character accordingly to be able to fulfill it.

All they did was to keep performing rituals and reading scriptures. There is nothing wrong in doing so but they essentially failed to understand the profound manifestation of God and the ways to attain it. The Divine actually dwells within ourselves but remains unseen, being obscured by a wall of selfishness and lack of magnanimity. As soon as that wall is pulled down, one would be able to experience the bliss of the God within. Had someone reminded them about this truth, they would have certainly realized the God and become Rishis (sages) in real sense.
